I have news for you, your purpose is hidden somewhere in your pain. Your purpose is being stifled by your fear. Your purpose lives in your shame. There is something called the “Purpose Driven Push” that many of us go through, but we don’t realize what it is. The easiest way to describe this, it’s the turbulence in your life. The back to back storms that hits you from all directions. Your relationships, your career, your health all seem to be under attack. It’s that thing that bring tears to your eyes, that makes you go into hiding, that consumes your thoughts. The purpose driven push is a powerful thing, and can change your life if you recognize it soon enough to grab hold of it.
If you were given a few months to live, what is the one thing that would make your journey valuable? Take a second and think about this.
Would you have any regrets. Would you be wishing you had taken that risk that chance, Is there an opportunity of a lifetime you passed up.
What makes your heart skip a beat just by thinking about it. My mom’s most famous quote is “If I was to live my life again I would…”
What would you do, if you were given a second chance to start over?
Your purpose could be living at the end of that quote. Your purpose is sitting somewhere in your subconscious mind waiting for you to make a move so they can guide you.
There is something that secretly excites you, but you refuse to believe it. You are afraid it’s too late, or it’s too far out of your reach. You are comfortable and the thought of being uncomfortable scares you.
In order to operate in your purpose, you must be willing to venture in uncomfortable territories.
To lead a purposeful life is to follow your passions. Passions are given to us to help guide us through our journey, but we sometimes ignore them because of timing or it just seems too difficult.
The easiest way to get to your purpose is to start living in your happiness with no fear. Eventually you will start making positive contributions to the world around you and you will find yourself operating in your truth.
Don’t try purposely looking for it, Stop asking yourself “What is my purpose” this question will torment you if you try to tackle it this way. Instead I suggest you do the following:
- Start doing, do more of what makes you happy. Start accepting invitation to things that bring you joy. Act upon your feel good thoughts. If your mind tells you, this will make you feel good do it, Research it, go after it. Start doing…
- Choose everyday to make extraordinary choices and take action on it.
- Embrace the concept of Living life to the fullest which means to love life with all it’ unexpected turbulence. Take the good, the bad and the ugly and use them to create the portrait of your life. Portraits have flaws, but only the artists and creator of those paintings know what they are. Be a painter of Your life. Use your flaws and turn your life into something beautiful.
